Esthec’s vision is to allow our company to design, develop and produce the best possible products for our customers and to simultaneously increase the social impact while decreasing the impact on the environment. Therefore, sustainability management is, and will remain, at the heart of the company.

It is an integral part through our entire value stream; our research & development center, collaboration with experts from the different specialist departments, all have a foster focus on our sustainability principles.

FUTURE GENERATIONS

As the world seeks to slow the pace of climate change, preserve wildlife, and support billions of people, trees inevitably hold a major part of the answer. Yet the mass destruction of trees continues, sacrificing the long-term benefits of standing trees for short-term gain. Good quality wood is getting scarcer by the day. Demand exceeds supply, resulting in illegal logging and deforestation. In addition, the prices are constantly fluctuating. Esthec, on the other hand, is stable in price and raw materials are always available with consistent quality.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

At Esthec we want to maximize the conservation of rare natural resources for our future generations. Esthec has been certified in accordance with ISO 14001 since 2002. The international standard ISO 14001 defines internationally recognized requirements for an environmental management system.

BREEAM

Our production facility and Experience & Innovation Center are both awarded with a BREEAM Excellent rating. BREEAM is an international scheme that provides independent third party certification of the assessment of the sustainability performance of individual buildings. With the development of our facilities we have taken into account the sustainable value in a series of categories, ranging from energy to ecology.

CIRCULAR

Each of these categories addresses the most influential factors, including low impact design and carbon emissions reduction; design durability and resilience; adaption to climate change, ecological value and biodiversity protection. Esthec can be reinstalled in any number of projects in the event the project for which it was originally used changes. At the end of its useful life, Esthec can be returned to the factory for recycling or re-use or re-worked locally with a new top layer for a second life cycle.
